Biography:
Pedro J Rios, or better known as Peet Cal, is an up-and-coming Puerto Rican rapper, producer, and CEO of his own movement. Raised and still living in the struggle out of New Jersey, he started writing about his hardships since the age of 13. Observing legends like Tupac Shakur, Notorious Big, and Big Punisher made him realize how important music can be to relieve a lot of Life’s hiccups. His objective is to glorify the reality aspect and wonders of life rather than murder and materialistic, senseless things people die for in today’s world. This is music you may relate to.
He will tackle subjects and concepts people fear to touch due to the negative response that will probably result from being so outspoken. Those characteristics shouldn’t hinder ones judgement of the person behind the music for he is extremely humble, peaceful-minded despite his past turbulence, and well open-minded when it comes to good music be it Guns ‘n Roses to Jimi Hendrix or Hector LaVoe to Ismael Rivera.
Countless features and collaborations with artists from the homeland like Bori Puro, Poe Rilla, Big Lou, Pumpkinhead, Joell Ortiz, and others to South American hard hitters like Bajo el Sepelio, Mago Real, and Masquad made him a popular figure south of the border and parts of the world where Hip Hop is still Hip Hop. His passion for music is unique and his taste for it is unlike any else. His voice is one of a kind and his mind is an unexplored matrix and forever blooming. Jokingly he will tell you his only reason for living is his son, his music, and because God don’t want him yet.
Peet Caliber’s extensive resume includes over 15 mixtapes, 400-plus songs with only a handful being recognized or heard. Only 3 of those 15 were pushed forward and promoted and due to the overwhelming positive response from listeners, that made him continue his career.
